We respect your privacy! Hubbard Peanut Co., Inc. recognizes that personal data deserves protection. Our Privacy Policy is our assurance to you, that your personal data will be protected and will remain confidential. Personal data includes, for example, e-mail addresses, billing information, delivery addresses, gift recipient names and addresses and 'clickstream' data that tracks visitor activity on our website and E-commerce service.

Personal Data:

Hubbard Peanut Company, Inc. has never in the past, nor will we in the future, share or sell your personal data to any Company, individual or organization without first obtaining your approval to do so.

Solicitation:

We mail our brochures only to our customers who have purchased from us in the past or do so in the future. We do NOT mail our brochure to the names and addresses on your personal gift list unless they purchase from us independently.

Security:

We will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of your personal data and order data while housed on our premises.

Credit Card Fraud:

As required by our credit card processor, we have implemented all necessary controls including name address verification controls for credit card purchases to detect, minimize and prevent the use of stolen cards.

We have established a layer of security so that you can transact business with little worry that your personal data or other details about your transaction will be seen by the public.

When you place your order, the transaction session occurs over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. This SSL technology is provided for your protection. Also referred to as Public Key Infrastructure or PKI, our server is fitted with a Digital site Certificate from Verisign, the expert in digital identification certificates. This certificate provides a standard of authentication to confirm the identity of the site you access with your browser.

Verisign describes Digital Ids as 'electronic credentials' that establish an entity's identity. A server secured with a Digital ID ensures visitors of the site's authenticity and allows the session with the client to be encrypted. lt is essentially "third party evidence" that end users who are seeking and receiving data are indeed who the server understands them to be and vice versa.

Once your purchase session is established, your browser and our server are in a secured environment. Because our server has been certified as a 128-bit secure server by Verisign, data traveling between your browser and the server is encrypted with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. With SSL, data that travels between our server and your browser is encrypted and can only be decrypted with the public and private key pair. Our server issues a public key to your browser and creates a temporary private key. These two keys are the only combination possible for that session. When the session is complete, the keys expire and the whole process starts over when a new customer begins a purchase session. The encryption/decryption happens in the background. You can see it is working when the small 'padlock' icon appears in your browsers status bar.
